English Breakfast is a popular type of black tea blend traditionally enjoyed as part of a hearty breakfast. It is known for its robust, full-bodied flavor and dark color.

There are no hard and fast rules dictating exactly which black teas are blended to make an English Breakfast. It is usually a blend of two or three different teas, typically from Sri Lanka, India, and sometimes China.

Our English Breakfast is a blend of organic black teas sourced from Myanmar, Thailand, and Yunnan, China. It is malty and robust, with light chocolatey notes and a natural sweetness. It stands great on its own but also takes milk and sugar very well.

Milder than a traditional English breakfast, this memorable tea with notes of raisin and caramel is a perfect way to start your day.

This organic tea is grown high up in the forested Ecological Tea Garden in Yunnan, China, and makes a full-bodied cup that s great on its own. Or if you re feeling like a richer, more decadent cup, try boosting its natural sweetness with a dash of milk and honey.

Laoshan is a small village near the sea in northeast China. Teas from this region benefit from a unique microclimate featuring coastal breezes, rocky soil, and fresh spring water.

Laoshan black teas are usually small and tippy, lacking the white pekoe-style hairs that give black teas their golden color.

Classic Laoshan Black, grown under the shadow of a sacred mountain, is very smooth and viscous with a robust flavor that has a distinct dark chocolate bite.

People often question whether sugar was added to this tea, but it's simply the weather and soil that make this tea naturally sweet and thick.

Classic Laoshan Black is one of our personal favorites at Tea Runners. It's a tea we always have on our shelf at home!

If you love this tea, you may also want to check out the more expensive versions, including Imperial Grade Laoshan Black and Laoshan Village Black Needles. Both have a similar flavor profile, but undergo more strict plucking and processing, creating slightly different flavor profiles.

This sharp and lingering oolong is aptly named, because as the tea leaves open, they resemble claws unfurling. These leaves are plucked at the beginning of the harvest after summer when the leaves are dark green, but the cup steeps to a beautiful amber color with a nutty toasted finish and the sweet tartness of apricot.

We're huge fans of oolongs in general, but this one is just spectacular.

This lovely pure oolong tea comes from Northern Thailand where the soil is softer, providing a deeper concentration of nutrients. It brews to a beautiful red with lively notes of dried raisin and baked black cherry with a touch of cacao.

While the traditional Russian Caravan is renowned for its intense smoky profile, Sweet Russian Caravan offers a delightful departure. This variation showcases a lighter touch of smokiness, skillfully balanced by the smooth and sweet notes derived from classic Indian teas.

It is especially fitting to enhance the flavors of this tea by adding milk and raw honey. The combination of these elements elevates the overall experience, making it a truly delightful indulgence.

From the remote mountains of northern Thailand comes this rich and adventurous wild-grown black tea with daring flavor.

This is an old-tree, forest grown tea that brews to a vivid and lovely ruby red infusion with the aromatic notes of roasted stone fruit, graham cracker, and sour cherry.

Wild Thai Black is complex and bold, but a gorgeous addition to any tea collection.
