    Black tea is the most popular type of tea in North America. Black tea leaves are fully oxidized, which means they have undergone a chemical reaction in which the tea leaves are exposed to oxygen. This process turns the leaves from green to brown or black and develops the characteristic flavor and aroma of black tea.
