A Sneak Peek at our September 2020 Boxes

Hello Tea Lovers,

We’re ready for the fall over here at Tea Runners, even if the season may look a little different this year. Some of you are gearing up for being back to school, and whether that’s in person or taking the plunge into a new at-home learning routine, we’ve got some teas to help you tackle whatever is in store for you. 

Our September tea line up includes more of the fresh 2020 harvest teas, including Sweet Potato Zheng Shan Xiao ShongClassic Laoshan Green, and Purple Needle Black Tea of Jingmai Mountain
 
In mid-September, we'll been added over a dozen “elite teas” to our store. These are all very rare, rather expensive, high-grade 2020 harvest teas available in very limited quantities. 

Lastly, the wait for our new Tea Runners Easy Brew Teapots is over! We've received our big shipment and they will be available in our store next week.

Sweet Potato Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong

This pure black tea steeps to a slightly sweet, thick, strong cup with delicious toasted notes of yam and a satisfying, full-bodied finish. Enjoy its comforting aroma and smooth mouthfeel, equally great with milk or on its own.

Classic Laoshan Green

Plucked in the first week of April, this robust tea bursts with the bright vegetal notes of spring. It steeps to a thick liquor with notes of green grass and toasted nuts, easing to an ever-so-slighly sweet finish.  Classic Laoshan Green may be stronger than most green teas you’re used to, but its overall smoothness and elegance makes it a real crowd-pleaser.

Strong Assam black tea gets the royal treatment with a beautiful bouquet of rose petals and relaxing lavender. Besides being lovely to look at, these leaves steep to a deeply rich and floral cup, rounding out to a bright and citrusy finish.

Cape Town Herbal Sunrise

This tea steeps to a pale and delicate pink liquor but warms the palate with a full-bodied and flowery taste. Healthy rooibos is smooth and rich while loading the body with iron and calcium, making this a great herbal tea for all ages.

The addition of blueberries and raspberries with tropical papaya and hibiscus slightly sweeten this tea, creating a perfect and well-rounded balance.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, blueberries, papaya, orange peel, hibiscus, raspberries, mallow blossoms, sugar, marigold petals, and flavoring.

Purple Needle Black Tea of Jing Mai Mountain

Carefully handpicked and painstakingly processed, this beauty brews to a bright and citrusy cup with heady floral notes and the punch of tart grapefruit in its finish. Best when steeped to its recommended brewing time, this tea needs no additives, as its complexities shine when enjoyed on its own.

Bengal Tiger Breakfast

This ideal breakfast tea is the perfect caffeinated blend to start your day. Big, bold Assam tea gets a bright boost from invigorating Ceylon, creating a one-two punch that’s as invigorating as it is sophisticated.

Bengal Tiger Breakfast has a rich copper-toned tea liquor with an uplifting malty, caramel aroma. An invigorating morning breakfast tea that's perfectly smooth on its own, or try it with a splash of milk.

Half Moon Green Pearls Oolong

This unusual green oolong tea is plucked in the fall just before Nepal's tea plants go dormant in mid-November. After plucking, the leaves are withered and rolled, creating these distinctive "half moon" pearls.

Half Moon Green Pearl Oolong is a complex tea with aromas of wild orchids and a nice fruity taste.
