Big Snow Mountain of Mengku Black Tea

My usual favorites are high altitude Indian teas; Golden Tip Darjeeling, Golden Tip Assam, or First Flush Darjeeling. Big Snow Mountain of Mengku Mountain Black is every bit as good. Rich, full flavor and no astringency. I've brewed a small pot for breakfast and made one or two more from the same leaves during the day, the flavor holds up.

This is absolutely delicious! Deep, robust, and complex. It’s so good that I bring it with me when I travel. It brews consistently (no variations in flavor, color, or strength) and the second cup from the same leaves is as good as the first. It has become the backbone of my morning routine.

I lean toward strong, tannic black teas, and this one is too smooth on my tongue, the flavour too mild. That is due to my personal preference, not the quality of the tea. I’ve never been disappointed with any tea from this company, and this is no exception. I simply have to brew this one with twice the tea leaves to get the strength I prefer,

I would not add add milk, sweetener, or lemon to it. The flavor is too bold and clear for that, and there is no bitterness to mask. It has become my default morning tea.
