Lemon Drop Black

Used to have more lemon flavor. Its still good, and has a hint of lemon flavor, but not as good as the last time I ordered.

I used to love Lemon Drop Black, it was one of my favorites. I ordered some from the Black Friday sale. I have to say it was not the same - barely any lemon flavor. It used to be bright and fresh tasting. This was just black tea with a hint of lemon. This was very disappointing.

I first discovered Lemon Drop Black Tea through the Tea Runners subscription my daughter gifted me for my birthday. It was one of those blends that immediately caught my attention—smooth, full-bodied black tea with a citrusy edge.

For me, the lemon note was gentler than expected, adding a subtle brightness rather than dominating the cup. Interestingly, my husband finds it very lemony, which makes me think this tea has a unique way of revealing itself differently to each palate.

That’s part of its charm: it’s bold yet balanced, refreshing without being overpowering. Whether you’re looking for a lively citrus kick or a smooth black tea with a hint of zest, Lemon Drop Black delivers a comforting and versatile experience.

This tea is very pleasantly fragrant and smooth, and is especially refreshing served cold. It’s so smooth and flavorful, I don’t have to add sugar to it, but adding a little brings out the fruitiness of the lemon even more. This tea is versatile: hot with honey, sugar, or plain, and as iced tea. It’s less tangy than an Arnold Palmer, but if you like that beverage, you’ll be a fan of this!

This smells so good, like aromatic lemon depth without the bitterness, and it taste a lot like it smells. I get notes of lemon peel, lemon verbena, and some woodsiness. I was glad I didn’t any tartness, sourness, or bitterness.

I was able to drink it without any sweetener at all (it’s not sweet by itself to me, but it’s complex and smooth enough to get away with no additions). I usually add sweetener to most of my teas.

I think this would be excellent hot or served as iced tea, with sugar as well. I have enjoyed it as hot tea so far. It’s also good with honey. I haven’t tried a cold brew method, but the tea is smooth to begin with, so that seems promising.
