Known as Zhong Guo Hong, or “China Red,” this distinctive black tea is crafted from a hybrid of local Assamica and Wuyi Shui Xian cultivars grown in Fengqing for more than 40 years. Mature trees, an exceptional natural environment, and specialized processing create a tea with remarkable depth and character.
The cup is exceptionally thick and full-bodied, with rich notes of malt, chocolate, and ripe fruit. Brew it lightly for a smooth, easygoing session or push it with more leaf, boiling water, and longer steeps for greater intensity.
