Golden Mao Feng originates in the high-altitude, mist-covered mountains of Yunnan, China, a region celebrated for producing some of the world’s most sought-after teas. In early spring, skilled artisans hand-pick only the tender buds and youngest leaves, each adorned with delicate golden tips. This organic tea is carefully withered, gently rolled, and fully oxidized to reveal its signature character.

Its golden tips yield a smooth, full-bodied cup with earthy depth and rich notes of honey, cocoa, malt, wood, and cane sugar. When steeped, the leaves unfurl into a warm amber liquor that exudes a naturally sweet, inviting aroma. The flavor is layered and complex, offering a velvety mouthfeel and a lingering finish that leaves a gentle warmth and sweetness.

Golden Mao Feng is a tea to savor slowly, best enjoyed when you have a quiet moment to appreciate its many nuances. It stands as both a testament to Yunnan’s rich tea-making heritage and a shining example of why this organic, golden-tipped black tea is cherished by connoisseurs worldwide.

Wonderful and distinctive

I enjoy this tea from the moment I pour it into my cup. It has a great aroma and taste to match. I don't know another tea like it. The first steeping at four minutes is great, the second at five is good.

Great black tea

When I started drinking hot tea, I only drank English Breakfast tea. Then I joined Tea Runners and discovered so many more great teas like this one. I think it's stronger and has a much better flavor. I only add a splash of half and half but I could easily drink it with nothing added.
